A PERFECT SATURDAY

Sugary pink and baby blue hues are painted on the London townhouses, and street stalls are filled with old world good and vintage finds, and the scent of Italian, Spanish and French food combs through the air - There is simply nowhere on earth like Notting Hill.

London's famous destination is a place that bursts with flavour and colour and I have loved coming here since my early childhood which is a nod to the fact that the market runs through my veins, - My father used to work in Portobello market and his love for this street has definately become mine.

The best day to attend the market is on a Saturday (Ideally between 12pm and 3pm) and I would recommend starting off on the corner of Cambridge Gardens (Located just off the corner of the west end of Portobello Road) and naviagte toward the East End of Portobello Road. This route allows you to see the full breadth of the market and ensures you won't miss a thing.

Where  I Like To Eat
Portobello Organic Kitchen - This a charming restaurant that, as the name suggests, provides fresh and organic produce. I would describe the food as a beautiful blend of traditional British cuisine with an Italian influence, making their homemade produce unique and tantalising.

PIX - Is one for those who would like to try an alternative dining experience. Their traditional idea of a restaurant is transformed with PIX as guests are asked to take a plate and dig into the gorgeous spread displayed on the bar. There is a combination of hot and cold snacks and tempting sweet treats on offer and a sophisticated drinks menu to compliment.

Shops & Stalls
There is an abundance of stalls stocked with vintage finds, I can still remember the time when I was in reach of owning that vintage Chanel bag, Unfortunately, I had no cash on me to buy this perfect find so I went to the cash point, but by the time I came back it had been sold to someone else, So Yes I would recommend taking out cash to avoid missing out on a buy like mine, or at least what was almost mine. There are also dozens of individual antique markets and bazaars, as well as hoards of boutique and High Street shops.
