The world had been waiting with bated breath for the announcement that the new royal had finally arrived, and on May 2nd, 2015 the news we were all waiting for finally broke. At 11am Kensington Palace announced that “The Duchess of Cambridge was safely delivered of a daughter at 8.34am, weighing 8lbs 3oz”
Following the birth of the little Princess, the excitement and anticipation turned to what the Duke and Duchess would name their new daughter. This afternoon, following a 41 gun salute, the Palace confirmed in a statement that the baby would be known as, HRH Princess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana of Cambridge.
